Ujjain: Political activity has intensified ahead of the proposed visit of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to Madhya Pradesh. As part of his ongoing outreach efforts, Gandhi is expected to visit the historic city of Ujjain, where he will participate in several important programmes aimed at strengthening the Congress organization.
According to the proposed schedule, Rahul Gandhi will attend a special training camp for Congress block- and mandal-level presidents during his visit to Ujjain. He is also expected to conduct a detailed review of the progress and preparations for the party’s “Sarjan Abhiyaan.” Preparations for the visit have already begun at the party level.
During the visit, the Congress may also launch a new campaign in Madhya Pradesh. The party is reportedly planning a “₹100 Donation Campaign,” under which it will collect ₹100 from each participating family. The organization aims to collect donations from at least 30,000 families in every Assembly constituency.
The funds raised through the campaign are expected to be used to strengthen the Congress organization financially at the grassroots level and expand booth-level activities across the state.
Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit is considered politically significant. During his previous engagements in Madhya Pradesh, he raised issues related to employment and education through the “Chhatraon Ki Goonj” programme in Indore and met the families of deceased tribal children in Balaghat.
Through his proposed Ujjain visit, Gandhi is expected to focus on revitalizing the Congress organization at the divisional, block, and panchayat levels and strengthening its grassroots network.
Although the official date of Rahul Gandhi’s visit has not yet been finalized, preparations are underway, and there is considerable enthusiasm among local Congress workers.
